A Note about Technology

In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, The Office of Partnership Support and Research will make all Summer Seminar related materials available on the ESP website and will continue to update the site through the week of the conference.  If possible, please bring your laptop computer.  Wireless internet access if available in several areas of the C.W. Post Campus and Ethernet access is available in the dormitories. *Ethernet cables are not provided, please bring your own. 

Team “To Bring” List

  • Partnership planning and support materials, including:
    • Materials for Peer to Peer presentation
    • Optional- Documentation, or “raw data,” to be used in workshops (ex: surveys, samples of student work, rubrics, etc.).
  • Payment for any un-paid team members.

Personal “To Bring” List (for residential participants)
Each private, centrally controlled, air-conditioned dorm room contains a bed, desk, wardrobe closet and overhead light.  The linens provided for each participant include one bath towel, two hand towels, two flat sheets, a pillow and pillowcase, and a blanket. 
We suggest you might consider bringing:

  • Comfortable clothing, including:
    • Clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty (for art-making activities)
    • Sweatshirt or jacket
    • Swimsuit for morning dips in the campus swimming pool
    • Sunglasses/hat
    • Running or walking shoes
    • Practical shoes for during the day (the campus is fairly spacious)
    • Bathrobe and flip-flops or shower shoes
  • All toiletries, including soap and shampoo
  • Extra big towel and washcloth
  • Hand mirror (not all dorm rooms have wall mirrors)
  • Sunscreen
  • Any medications (we will have a small refrigerator available in the ESP Headquarters)
  • Quilt or comforter, single-size bed (A/C is centrally controlled and might be cold)
  • Cell phone and charger
  • Your laptop or portable computer (there is internet access available in each dorm room if you bring a modem or Ethernet cable – Wireless access also available in several areas on campus. MAC users, please bring your dongle.)
  • A two-prong/three prong plug adapter
  • Tennis racquet and balls (for outdoor tennis playing)
  • Book bag
  • Alarm clock
  • Bed lamp/book light
  • Umbrella
  • Portable beach or lawn chair (space permitting)
  • Camera and film
  • Hangers
