Making Learning Visible in Student Artwork

In 2001, the Professional Development Program embarked upon a major initiative, funded in part by a consortium grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. ESP began a process of documenting and disseminating the Making Learning Visible Project. Examples of promising practices in student assessment, leadership and professional development, were culled from ESP partnership sites around the state. The project was originally launched on this website and is now available on CD-ROM. It includes extensive analysis of effective Arts in Education strategies and models of successful documentation of the Empire State Partnerships projects’ work.
