Project
Description: ArtsConnection and PS 16 Staten Island are committed to working together as one team to reach all learners through integrated instruction. PS 16 is a large, diverse, elementary school spread over 2 buildings in which the arts are an expression of student learning and a preparation for continual development of students’ potential as they progress into junior high school and beyond. ArtsConnection Programming at 16R includes on-going planning, mentorships (also know as learning partnerships between arts speciailst and teahing artists) , and performing /visual arts residencies. Administators, classroom teachers, arts specialists and teaching artists work together to support student learning and to help students reach their full potential. Achievements:
