SPRING SEMINAR
an
Arts in Education Partnership Pre-Conference
at Common Ground

Wednesday, March 24
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Albany, NY

Several dozen dedicated arts in education practitioners from across New York State gathered to investigate the quality learning achieved when teachers and artists collaborate.  During workshops and facilitated discussions, they addressed the needs of their partnerships and the future of networks across the state.  Here are some of their comments following a day full of dialogue and ideas:

… To sustain the work and grow the network, we need to articulate what we do/believe and why it’s important.

I learned… ways to think about and “sell” ESP projects as a valuable asset to the greater community that takes place in schools.

I learned “hope” as a core skill…. I will set up a meeting with my SUNY contacts and those “sparkplugs” in my region.

How can we include more perspectives to enhance what we already have?

What we do in this network is beyond the scope of “just a meeting.”  It is a way of life.
